A yacht day is the one part of a Thailand bachelor party that feels like the brochure, and the one that most needs planning around rather than squeezing in.
We charter the boat, the crew and the catering for a full day, arrange the road or air leg to get the group there, and build the rest of the trip so that the day at sea is not competing with the night before it.
Pattaya or Phuket
Pattaya is roughly two hours from Bangkok by road, which makes it a day trip a group can take from the city and return from the same evening — or, more commonly, the middle day of a Bangkok-and-Pattaya trip. The water is fine, the islands are close, and the logistics are simple.
Phuket is a flight, so it is a leg of a trip rather than an excursion. What you get for the extra travel is genuinely better sea, better islands and a wider choice of boats. It is the right answer for a group of four nights or more, and the wrong answer for a long weekend in Bangkok.
What a Day Looks Like
Board mid-morning, two or three anchorages, swimming, lunch on board, back at the marina in the late afternoon. Eight hours, the boat to your group alone, and nobody else's itinerary. Groups of twelve to twenty fit the common charter sizes; above that the choice narrows and the price per head stops improving.
What Is Included
The boat and crew for the agreed hours, catering and bar to the standard you choose, transfers at the marina end, and the road or air leg if you want us to handle it. Fuel and port fees are stated in the quote rather than added afterwards — that is the most common unpleasant surprise in charter hire and we would rather it was not one.
The Two Honest Warnings
First, a yacht day is a whole day. A group that goes to sea on the second morning does not have a hard second night, and pretending otherwise is how a schedule breaks. Plan the water day either as the recovery day or as the last full day.
Second, weather. The Gulf of Thailand off Pattaya and the Andaman coast off Phuket have different seasons: broadly, Phuket's rough water is May to October, while Pattaya is more forgiving year round. A charter can be moved or cancelled by the captain for sea state, and that decision is his rather than ours or yours. A shorter run on the river instead.

What It Costs

Pattaya or Phuket for a bachelor party?
Pattaya for a trip based in Bangkok, because it is a two-hour drive and returns the same evening. Phuket for four nights or more, because the sea and the choice of boats are better.
How many men fit on a charter?
Twelve to twenty suits the common charter sizes. Larger groups are possible but the choice of boats narrows sharply, particularly in high season.
What happens if the sea is rough?
The captain decides, and his decision stands. Charters can be moved to another day or refunded under the operator's terms, which we give you in writing before you book.
