- 19.Questions groups ask about what it costs
A group of ten men asks what a bachelor party in Bangkok costs. It gets three kinds of answer.
One organiser sends a single number with nothing behind it. Another sends a per-person figure that looks cheap. The club night is not in it. A third says it depends, which is true and useless.
Here is the fourth kind of answer. Four published floors, the price of every component inside them, and the four levers that move a total.
Every figure below is for the whole group. VAT is already inside it. You can add the components up yourself and check our arithmetic. That is the point of publishing them.
The four floors

There are four packages. Each has one floor price for the group.
Silver starts at ฿100,000 for six to ten men, one night. Gold starts at ฿200,000 for ten to fourteen men, two nights. Platinum starts at ฿300,000 for fourteen to twenty men, three nights. Diamond starts at ฿450,000 for sixteen to thirty men, four nights.
Read the word floor properly. Each figure is the smaller end of its headcount band, on a weeknight, with the cheaper villa and vehicle setup. A Monday is a weeknight. A Friday is not.
Twenty men on a Saturday in December sit above the floor. So does Songkran in April, and so does New Year.
We show you which lines moved and by how much before you pay anything. A floor that pretends to be a fixed price is the oldest trick in this business.
Why we publish the parts
Most organisers publish a number and leave you to guess what sits behind it. We publish the components instead.
A group that can see the parts can argue with them. That matters more than it sounds.
Once you know a three-hour boat on the Chao Phraya is ฿27,000, you can tell us to drop it. Put the money into a second villa night instead. The quote comes back rebuilt rather than discounted.
A group that can only see a total has nothing to negotiate with except the total.
What the components cost on their own
These are the standalone prices. VAT is included. They are the same figures that sit inside the four packages.
A party-allowed villa for eight to sixteen people is ฿18,500 a night. A pool villa on the Pattaya coast is ฿12,500. A five-star hotel suite in Bangkok is ฿11,000.
A nine-seat VIP van with a driver, ten-hour day, is ฿6,500. Bangkok to Pattaya by private van is ฿3,500 each way. A minibus for fourteen to sixteen men is ฿7,800 a day. A coach for thirty to forty-five is ฿12,500.
A three-hour private boat on the Chao Phraya, up to twenty-five aboard, is ฿27,000. An eight-hour yacht day off Pattaya is ฿49,000 for the boat. The same day off Phuket is ฿36,000, and the road transfer becomes a flight you book.
An English-speaking event host is ฿4,800 for four hours. Eight hours is ฿7,800. Twenty-four hours, including the overnight, is ฿22,000.
A photographer is ฿12,000 for four hours and ฿21,000 for a full day.
Suvarnabhumi fast track is ฿2,200 per passenger. It is worth saying that this is a Suvarnabhumi service. A group landing at Don Mueang is in the ordinary queue.
A cake delivered to the room is ฿2,500. Room decoration is ฿5,500. A rooftop, restaurant or bar buyout for twenty to forty men starts at ฿35,000 in minimum spend, whether that is Sukhumvit, Thonglor or Silom.
A five-passenger helicopter charter is ฿240,000 and does not move.
The venue night is the whole argument

Here is the single number that explains the spread between ฿100,000 and ฿450,000.
The small end is 50-CENTS. Four hours in a small party room, a five-bottle package, one show, six entertainment staff. That is ฿71,500.
The middle is HEFNER. Five hours, a party room, five bottles, one show, ten entertainment staff, at ฿107,000. WILD sits near it at ฿72,000 for three hours with ten staff.
The top end is PIMP DADDY. Five hours in a party suite, a ten-bottle package, one show, twenty-five entertainment staff. That is ฿232,000.
The difference is ฿160,500, before a single other thing in the trip changes. No villa, no boat and no extra night moves a total that far.
Groups spend hours optimising vans. Then they pick the venue package in ninety seconds. That is exactly backwards.
What an extra night really adds
An extra night is not just a hotel bill.
It is a villa night from ฿18,500, a ten-hour van day from ฿6,500, and an eight-hour host block from ฿7,800.
Call it ฿33,000 a night, before anyone orders a drink. That figure is worth memorising.
It is the honest answer to "can we just add a day". You can. It is not free, and it is nothing like the price of a hotel room.
Water is the second lever
A three-hour boat on the river is ฿27,000 for up to twenty-five men. An eight-hour yacht day off the coast is ฿49,000 for the boat itself.

That gap is the gap between an evening on the Chao Phraya and a full day out of Bangkok. It is the second-largest single line most groups add.
Neither figure includes what the group drinks aboard.
Headcount does not scale smoothly
This one surprises people. Price does not rise gently with each extra man.
It jumps where a vehicle or a room runs out. Twenty men need two vans, not one. They need a party suite rather than a small room.
Nineteen men and twenty-one men can sit on different sides of two step changes at once.
So tell us the real headcount. A group that grows by two after the quote is agreed can cross a line that costs real money.
What a room costs if you only want the room

Some groups do not want a package at all. They want a room for one night and nothing else. That is a fair thing to want.
At The PIMP a small private room for up to four men is ฿3,500. A large VIP room for up to eight is ฿6,000. A large party room for up to thirty is ฿10,000. The pool zone holds up to a hundred and fifty and is ฿15,000.
Those are room charges. On top sits a room minimum spend for non-members of ฿10,000 to ฿20,000, food and beverage only.
So eight men in a large VIP room are looking at ฿6,000 for the room and a minimum spend they will comfortably drink through. There is no mysterious package price in it.
The private party room at The PIMP is written up properly elsewhere on this site, room by room.
The 2am rule nobody mentions
Open or move to a room after 2:00am and the room costs forty per cent less.
That is a real published mechanic and it is worth knowing. A group that starts on a table downstairs and moves up late pays materially less for the same room.
It also means the honest answer to "should we book the room for the whole night" is often no.
Tables and sofas, if a room is not what you need
A table is priced differently from a room.
At The PIMP the published minimum spend for non-members is ฿3,000 per person at the bar or at a VIP table. A sofa runs ฿7,500 to ฿12,500.
Seating is allocated by the size of your booking rather than sold separately. That is why a group that books a room it did not need has committed to a room minimum for no reason. The same logic applies to a KTV room.
How club tables and minimum spend work is the other half of this. It is the most common place a group overspends by accident.
What carries our margin, and what does not

Services we run carry our margin. That is hosts, vehicles, photography and planning. Accommodation is booked on your behalf at a thinner one.
Three things pass through at cost with nothing added.
Villa event fees, which are typically about one night's rate. Refundable villa security deposits, which are ฿20,000 and come back to you after checkout. They are held by the villa, never by us. And venue minimum spends, which are the venue's money on the venue's bill.
We publish that split because it is the question a sharp group asks third, after the total and the inclusions. If an organiser will not tell you which lines carry margin, assume all of them do.
Extra hours, by package

Extending the venue night is priced per hour. The rate depends on the room you are in.
On Silver it is ฿6,000 an hour. On Gold, with the bigger room, it is ฿10,000. On Platinum and Diamond, in the party suite, it is ฿25,000 an hour.
All of them are decided on the night rather than committed in advance. That is the right way round.
A group that pre-books an extra hour usually did not need it. A group that wants one at 1am can have it.
The per-person quote trap
You will see Bangkok bachelor packages advertised as a starting price per person. It reads well. It is the least useful number in this industry.
A per-person figure hides two things.
It hides the step changes, the second van and the bigger room, which do not divide evenly across a group. And it very often excludes the venue night, which is the largest line in the whole trip.
Ten men flying in from Hong Kong, multiplying a small per-person figure by ten and expecting a full night, will have a conversation they did not budget for.
We quote for the group and tell you to divide it yourself. It is less flattering. You can check it.
What is not in any package
No package includes flights, insurance, visas, hotel nights you book yourself, or anything ordered at a venue beyond what the package contains.
Every package does include the venue night, ground transport between everything on the itinerary, an English-speaking event host, the planning, and one invoice from one company.
Tipping is discretionary and never appears on our invoice.
Close protection is in no package. It is available from ฿9,800 per officer per twelve-hour shift. Most groups do not need it and we will say so.
How the money actually moves

A card deposit confirms the booking. The balance is due before arrival. We invoice as a company registered in Thailand, in Thai baht.
If it changes, tell us more than forty-eight hours out and we move the booking at no cost.
Inside that window we will try. On a Saturday in December we will probably fail. The room and the villa are gone, rather than us being difficult.
Swaps are rebuilt, not discounted. Drop the boat and the price comes down by that line. Swap the villa for five-star suites at ฿11,000 a night and we price the swap in one line.
Work out your own number in five minutes

Start with the venue night. It is the biggest line. 50-CENTS at ฿71,500, or PIMP DADDY at ฿232,000. Choose honestly.
Add ฿33,000 for every night beyond the first. Add ฿27,000 for the river or ฿49,000 for a yacht day.
Add ฿12,000 or ฿21,000 for a photographer, depending on how much of the trip you want shot. Add ฿2,200 a head to walk past the Suvarnabhumi queue.
Then look at the floor for the package matching your nights and headcount. See which side of it you land on.
If your arithmetic and our floor disagree by a lot, one of us has the headcount wrong. That is worth five minutes on chat before anything is booked.
Where the money goes wrong

Three patterns, all avoidable.
Booking a room the group did not need, and inheriting a ฿10,000 to ฿20,000 minimum spend for the privilege.
Pre-paying extra venue hours that could have been decided at 1am for the same rate.
Understating the headcount at quote stage, then crossing two step changes at once when the real number arrives.
None of those are pricing problems. They are planning problems. That is the entire argument for using an organiser.
The honest floor
฿100,000 for the group, one night, six to ten men, VAT inside. Below that we are not the right company.
That is arithmetic rather than a sales position. A four-hour room package with six entertainment staff is ฿71,500 on its own.
Add a host, a van and a photographer and there is very little left to run a business on.
A company quoting materially below that for a real night is either leaving the venue night out of the number, or planning to find the difference somewhere you have not been told about.
Questions groups ask about what it costs
What is the cheapest real bachelor party you will run?
฿100,000 for the group, one night, six to ten men. Below that we are not the right company, and we would rather say so than sell a thin version of a good night.
Is the price per person or for the group?
For the group, always. Divide by your headcount yourself. Every figure we publish includes VAT.
What are the four floors?
Silver is ฿100,000 for one night. Gold is ฿200,000 for two. Platinum is ฿300,000 for three. Diamond is ฿450,000 for four. Each is a floor for the smaller end of its headcount band on a weeknight.
What moves the price the most?
The venue night, by a distance. The 50-CENTS room package is ฿71,500 and the PIMP DADDY suite package is ฿232,000. That is ฿160,500 of difference before anything else moves.
What does an extra night add?
About ฿33,000 before anyone orders a drink. A villa night from ฿18,500, a ten-hour van day from ฿6,500, and an eight-hour host block from ฿7,800.
What do you mark up and what do you pass through?
Hosts, vehicles, photography and planning carry our margin. Accommodation is booked for you at a thinner one. Three lines pass through at cost: villa event fees, refundable security deposits, and venue minimum spends.
What is not included in any package?
Flights, insurance, visas, hotel nights you book yourself, and anything ordered at a venue beyond what the package contains. Tipping is discretionary and never appears on our invoice.
How do we pay, and what happens if it changes?
A card deposit confirms the booking. The balance is due before arrival. We invoice as a company, in Thai baht. Tell us more than forty-eight hours out and we move the booking at no cost.
