Where Bangkok Nightlife Actually Happens

The Order a Night Runs In
Seven o'clock, dinner. One table, everybody in one place, and the headcount settled before anybody has had four drinks.
Nine, a rooftop. One drink each and the skyline. It is the part of the night that goes on the group chat afterwards.
Eleven, a club table. The table is booked and paid on a minimum spend rather than an entry fee, and the group has somewhere to put its drinks and its coats.
Two, a private room. The part of the night that does not work in a public room. Your own space, your own host, a door that closes.
Four, the van. A driver who waited rather than a driver you have to find. This is the line on the invoice that saves the night.
Nothing in that list is difficult on its own. All five of them, in order, for sixteen men, on four consecutive nights, is a job.
