This city gives you more to do in four days than most give you in a fortnight, and that is exactly where groups come unstuck.

They book one big night, wing the rest, and lose two afternoons to a group chat that cannot agree on lunch.

So here are fifteen ideas worth putting in the days — the ones we actually run, in the order we usually run them.

1. Rent a Private Pool Villa

The cheapest good hours you will buy in this city.

Six bedrooms, a pool, a sound system that belongs to the house, and nobody to apologise to at midnight.

The catch is that half the listings will not knowingly take a stag group — party-allowed means a written agreement, not a hopeful message.

Take one for the middle of the trip and the group has a base instead of a lobby.

2. Go VIP at a Nightclub

Queueing is for people without a host.

A VIP table gets you past the door, above the floor, with the bottles already on ice when you walk in.

Thonglor, Ratchada or Sukhumvit — the district changes the crowd more than the price does.

3. Take a Party Room for the Last Night

This is the one non-negotiable.

4. Bring the Hosts to You

Nobody should be negotiating anything at 2 am.

Models and hosts are booked by the hour, in advance, arriving when you say and leaving when the booking says.

5. A Private Boat on the Chao Phraya

The best two hours in Bangkok cost less than a round of drinks in London.

Your own boat, your own crew, your own music, boarding at a pier ten minutes from your hotel at about 5 pm.

Wat Arun lights up on one side, the bridges on the other, and the group is already drinking by the time the sun goes.

Then it drops you back for the night.

6. Buy an Hour on a Rooftop

One hour, not three.

A rooftop is how you start a night in this city — the whole skyline, a photograph the groom's wife is allowed to see, and a drink that costs what a view costs.

Some can be bought out entirely for a group of 20 or more.

Then you go down and get on with it.

7. Take a Suite and Host It Yourselves

A suite on a high floor with the whole group in it beats a fourth nightclub.

Drinks, hosts, a speaker and a card game that ends when someone gives up.

Ten minutes from the club instead of forty from a villa, which matters on the nights you go out.

Most groups do one villa night and one suite night, in that order.

8. Put the Group in One Van for the Week

Four taxis go four directions. It happens every single time.

One van with a driver who waits — outside the club, outside the villa, at the airport — is the difference between a trip and a scramble.

For 20 or more, that is two vans or a party bus with its own sound.

9. Golf with Caddies

Forty minutes out of the city there are courses better than anything most of the group plays at home, at a fraction of what they pay for it.

Caddies, a cart, beer on the turn, back at the hotel by four with time to sleep.

Half the group plays and the other half sleeps — nobody has to agree.

10. Muay Thai, Ringside

Louder than anything else on the trip.

Ringside seats at Rajadamnern or Lumpinee, five fights, and a crowd betting harder than they should be.

Or a training session in the morning, which the groom will regret by lunchtime.

Either version gives the group something to talk about that is not the night before.

11. A Car for the Groom

Twenty minutes in something he will never own.

A supercar on a circuit, or a go-kart track where the whole group races and the results get argued about for years.

Bangkok has both, and both are cheaper here than at home.

Put it on the second afternoon, when everyone is functional.

12. Body Sushi, Body Shots and the Shows

The reason a private room is a private room.

The venue arranges its own shows in the room — body shots, body sushi, the shower show that is part of Party Room 4 — booked in advance, not negotiated at the door.

13. Whisky, Cigars and a Long Dinner

Not everything has to be loud.

One long table for 16, a bottle of something decent, cigars afterwards, and the speeches that only happen when everyone is sitting down.

Book it for 8 pm and the night still starts on time.

It is also the only hour of the trip the groom's father-in-law would approve of.

14. The Yacht Day, on the Coast

A yacht does not happen on the river. It happens out of Pattaya.

Two hours down the motorway, a crewed boat for the day, a swim platform and clear water.

Worth adding when the trip runs to five nights or more, and the reason most groups go down to the coast at all.

15. Hand the Whole Thing to an Organiser
